New management team announced

The replacement for Lee Hoos, who left Leicester City Football Club last week, has been announced as Susan Whelan.

Miss Whelan will take Hoos' role as Chief Executive Officer having joined the Foxes' board in December following the take-over of the club by Vichai Raksriaksorn at the end of 2010. Whelan is connected to Raksriaksorn through his King Power empire, of which she is Senior Executive Vice-President.

Also joining the club is Simon Capper, replacing Mark Johnson as Finance Director. Capper has a background in accounting and previously fulfilled a similar role over three years at Sheffield United.

With these off-field appointments now in place, Foxes' fans will be hoping to see Sven Goran Eriksson begin to rebuild his depleted squad. The only movement so far this summer has seen ten players leave the Walkers Stadium, despite rumours strongly linking a number of players to the football club.
